The original of this great Stubbs racing painting was sold at auction in 2011 for £20,000,000. Painted around 1765 for Frederick, the second Viscount Bolingbroke, the painting shows his great little horse Gimcrack in two scenes; in the left foreground the horse is being rubbed down after racing and in the right background he leads a trial race across Newmarket Heath, bearing a jockey in his owner's black colours...

FRAMING (prints on paper): We use a simple classic frame, gold finish over a black ground, approximately 1 3/4 inches (4.4 cm) in width with off-white acid-free mount 2 1/2 to 3 inches (6.5 - 7.5 cm) wide. Pictures are framed under glass and fitted with wire ready for hanging.
For larger pictures that are to be shipped we can use perspex instead of glass for security in transit - we may contact you to discuss this. Frame section shown below:

Unframed prints on canvas are supplied unstretched, with a 2 inch white border, rolled and packed in a strong cardboard tube.
All prints are covered in transit by our insurance.
